Financial Counseling

Financial counseling helps you align your financial goals, habits, and values. Counselors work with you to create a step by step plan to reach your goals. They are able to hold you accountable, monitor your progress, and motivate you on your path to long term financial stability. The skills that you will learn and financial habits you will form will empower you to reach your financial goals.

What are your financial goals?

  • Pay off debt
  • Plan for retirement
  • Improve your credit
  • Create an emergency fund
  • Save for a big purchase
  • Save for education

How to get started

  • Call our intake coordinator at 410-366-8550 x249 or email or you can start the intake process online by filling out the intake packet and submitting it to St. Ambrose.
  • After you have submitted a completed intake packet to our office, our intake coordinator will schedule an appointment for you to meet with your financial counselor either in person or over the phone.
  • During your first appointment your counselor will discuss your goals and what you want to get out of counseling. They will also discuss your budget and help you set up a plan to reach your goals.
